I am a graduate of Bonham High School, class of 1989. After high school, I attended Austin College for 2 years before transferring to East Texas State University where I graduated in 1995.
Bachelor of Science, Major: Kinesiology, Minor: Radio/Television
Texas Teacher Certification: Physical Education K-12

Throughout my career, I have taught at the intermediate level, middle school, and high school. I’ve enjoyed teaching Texas History, U.S. History, Health and Physical Education. The 2017-2018 school year will be my 9th year teaching P.E. at I.W. Evans. I am proud to say I’ve served Bonham ISD for 21 of my 22 years in education.
Outside of the classroom, I have also been a coach since 1995. I’ve spent most of my career coaching football and track, but my other duties have included baseball, softball, cross country, and volleyball. I have had the privelege of working with both boys and girls teams in grades 7-12.
I have been married to my wife, Kelly, since 1994 and we have two children; Kade (18) and Kylee (11). Kade is a student/athlete at the University of Texas @ Tyler, and Kylee is a 6th grade student at I.W. Evans Intermediate and a future olympic gymnast!
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy going to ball games, dining out, swimming, boating, camping, and watching sports on TV.
