Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
All rules and procedures are thought out carefully. They are put in place for the safety of our students and to prevent accidents.  Please follow the rules during arrival and dismissal!
Morning Arrival
All students report to their homeroom teacher in the morning. 
5th and 6th grade bus students will enter through the park doors.
4th grade bus and all bike riders will enter through the office doors.
All other students will enter through the door closest to the gym.
Bus students will be dropped off on the corner of 13th St. and Main St. and walk to their designated entrances.  Car traffic is prohibited on 13th St during this time.
Car Riders can exit the vehicle in the car loop on Main St. No left turns into the I W Evans car loop during arrival and dismissal times.  Please pull all the way forward. As soon as traffic stops inside the loop, students may exit the vehicle.
Students in cars traveling north may not exit the vehicle on Main St.  All car riders must use the car loop. Students let out of cars traveling south, must use the crosswalk. They may not cross anywhere else on Main Street and they may not walk across the loop.  Please do not let your student out on the street.  It is not safe.
Students are NOT allowed to be dropped off in the teacher parking lot.  Use the loop in front of the building.
Walkers must use the crosswalk at 13th St. and Main St., where there is a crossing guard.  No one should be crossing Main St. at any other location in front of IW Evans.
Please do not park in the loop and go into the building during morning arrival time.  
Afternoon Dismissal
All calls changing the way your child goes home must be made by 3pm. The office will be closed from 3:15 until 3:30. No parents will be admitted into the building during this time.
Bus students will be dismissed at the 3:23 bell. Bus students will not be allowed to exit the bus once they have boarded. There is no car traffic on 13th St. during this time.
Walkers and Bike Riders will be dismissed at the 3:30 bell.
Walkers must use the crosswalk at 13th and Main St. or at 13th and Center St. where there are crossing guards. Students are encouraged not to go through the park and try to cross Center Street further down.  There is not a crossing guard. 
Car Riders will remain in the building with their teachers until their names are called. Please prominently display the car tag provided to you by your child’s teacher. Your car will be approached by a teacher holding a walkie talkie. After she has acknowledged you, please pull forward as far as possible. Your child will be called from the building to your car. 
All traffic should be traveling northbound on Main St. to enter the car loop. Do not turn left into the loop!
Students are not allowed to be picked up in the teacher parking lot.  Students will not be allowed to go around to the parking lot.
No one should be crossing Main St. except at the designated crosswalk.  
The park south of the school is not school property and is not monitored by staff.
