I attended school in Bonham begininng in second grade at Bailey Inglish. I graduated from Bonham High School in 1985. I earned my Associates of Science degree from Grayson County College in May of 1987. I then attended East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in December of 1989.
I began teaching in Bonham in 1990. I taught Sixth grade, Fourth grade and Content Mastery. I then began teaching Third grade. I taught Third grade for 16 years. I moved to Fifth grade and taught all subjects for a few years. I was then moved to Fifth grade Science. I am still teaching Science and loving it! This will be my 30th year to teach in Bonham. I truly am blessed to be at I. W. Evans.
I have been married to my husband Don for 26 years. We married in 1993 in Bonham, Texas. We have one son, Michael, daughter-in-law Melissa, grandkids are Khylee McCommas, Kinsley McCommas, Emily Jones, Dillon Jones, and Shelby Jones. Kinsley is 3 years old. We have five Dachsunds, Bella, Rocky, Daisy, Jaxx and Dexter. We have an orange Tabby cat named Honey Bun. We have a Siamese cat named Sabre. We have a Snowshoe Siamese cat named Yum Yum.
When I am not at school, I love to read and scrapbook. I love that I am able to take my picture memories and embellish them. My husband and I are campers. We camp on weekends and our summer is full of camping trips. I love seeing new parts of the country.
