Teacher
I graduated from Durant High School in 1984 and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1988.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Education. I am ESL, GT, Math Grades 4-8 and Generalist (all subjects) Grades 4-8 certified.
I have been teaching at I. W. Evans and working for Bonham ISD for 16 years. My current teaching assignment is 5th grade math and social studies. My first year teaching I taught 4th grade math so this will be my 16th year teaching 5th grade math.
Prior to working at I. W. Evans I was a stay at home mom to my three sons for 16 years. I also taught preschool two days a week for a year during those 16 years.
I married my husband Chris in March 1986. We have been married for 34 years. We have three sons, one grandson, two dogs, four granddogs, and one grandcat. My three sons are all grown and have started their own families (they are 23,27, and 31 years old). My grandson Barret is a third grader at Finley-Oates. My dogs names are Wii-Man and Winston. My grandson and my dogs are all spoiled rotten and I only have myself to blame.
On weekends and during the summer my husband and I love to camp. We see new things, go to different places, and just enjoy nature. I have two dogs that keep me up and moving. I also love to read books, watch tv, and see my family. My grandson is currently tutoring me on my gaming skills on his Nintendo Switch.
