I graduated from Durant High School in 1984 and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1988.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Education. I am ESL, GT, Math Grades 4-8 and Generalist (all subjects) 4-8.
I have been teaching at I. W. Evans and working for Bonham ISD for 14 years. My current teaching assignment is 5th grade math and social studies. My first year teaching I taught 4th grade math so this will be my 14th year teaching 5th grade math.
Prior to working at I. W. Evans I was a stay at home mom to my three sons for 16 years. I also taught preschool two days a week for a year during those 16 years.
I married my husband Chris in March 1986. We have been married for 32 years. We have three sons, one grandson, three dogs, and five granddogs. My three sons are all grown and have started their own families (they are 21,25, and 29 years old). My grandson Barret is a first grader at Finley-Oates. My dogs names are Athena, Wii-Man, and Winston. My grandson and my dogs are all spoiled rotten and I only have myself to blame.
On weekends and during the summer my husband and I love to camp. We see new things, go to different places, and just enjoy nature. I have three dogs that keep me up and moving. I also love to read books, watch tv, and see my family.
