My experience as a teacher begins with homeschooling my 4 boys for 5 years followed by long and short term guest teaching in Prosper ISD for 6 years. As my family grew older, I joined the Frisco ISD in the special education department for 3 years. Following Frisco, I joined Bonham ISD in 2016 and I love this wonderful town. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a business major and a double minor in Spanish and Art.
I am a certified Early Childhood to 6th grade teacher. Aside from the teaching field, I am a certified Learn To Swim Instructor, teaching anyone to swim. I coached soccer for 10 years, played for over 40 years and now I am a certified grade 7 referee for high school, select and recreational soccer and I have been refereeing for the last 15 years..
This year I attended several workshop in McKinney and Celina. The workshops were on deveopment of strong rigorous students. Another workshop I attended this past summer was engaging students in reading and writing with passion. I hope to instill this trait into all my students! Last year I have attended the LEGO’s workshop in which we learned how to program the EVO robots. From there I grew by attending a Mathmatics workshop updating teachers on new and fun math stations for elementary students.
The Gifted and talented students workshop in July broadened my education on how to challenge students and help them to achieve their potential and increase their learning level.
These are my boys! Cameron, Curtis, Carson and Colton
One attends Sam Houston SU, the second attends Texas A&M ,my third son will be enlisting in the Air Force and my youngest is a Senior in high school.

When I am not in Bonham, I teach swimming at the Frisco Athletic Center to all generations and private lessons to special ed children. On the weekends I referee soccer in the fall and spring. Jewelry is fun to make when I have time and I enjoy my Family, when they are home from college or work.
